Construction of the new Careers in Wind site is still in progress. Here is what is new and on the horizon:

Learn More Section
This part of the website is for articles and resources that aim to help answer the question, “How do I work in wind energy?” The section is meant to give job seekers some background into wind and encourage them to investigate deeper than the listed jobs. Pages will be added to this section regularly.

Careers in Wind mailing lists
In the left-hand sidebar, you’ll notice a place to sign up for either the job seekers’ mailing list or the employers’ mailing list. These lists are for periodic announcements for Careers in Wind special events, such as the Job Fair at WINDPOWER 2009 in Chicago, IL.

The mailing list for employers will receive alerts on sales and specials, and advance notice of AWEA’s advertising efforts.

Advertising Careers in Wind
Along with the new website, AWEA is launching an aggressive marketing plan to promote Careers in Wind to various professional organizations and niche audiences, such as engineers in the electric sector. By posting jobs in concert with these targeted efforts, employers can expand their reach to qualified candidates.

Ad space on Careers in Wind
In the next month, Careers in Wind will have banner ad space available along the top and side of its page templates. Please check back soon, or sign up for the employer mailing list, for details.

Featured Employer sponsorship program
AWEA Member companies are invited to purchase unlimited access to Careers in Wind’s job board tools for one year. That includes a logo prominently displayed on the Careers in Wind homepage, as a featured employer.
